Every laptop, workstation and server is a doorway into your business, and NexusByte closes them with managed endpoint protection and EDR for Sydney companies. We deploy next-gen antivirus and endpoint detection and response across your fleet, defending against everyday malware as well as the advanced threats that traditional AV misses.
Deployment is only half the job. Our team manages your EDR day to day: monitoring alerts, investigating suspicious behaviour and acting quickly when something genuinely malicious appears on a device. Instead of a console nobody watches, you get endpoint security that is configured properly, kept up to date and actually looked after.
When a threat does get through, rapid response makes the difference between a contained incident and a company-wide outage. NexusByte responds fast to detections across workstations and servers, remediating affected endpoints and hardening your protection afterwards. For Sydney businesses that cannot afford downtime, it is device security done properly.

Our endpoint protection includes:
We keep your endpoints protected and visible.
We deploy and manage endpoint protection and EDR so every workstation and server is monitored and protected. When a threat is detected, we respond and remediate.
Fixed price. Central management. Clear visibility.

Endpoint protection and EDR (endpoint detection and response) secure every workstation and server against malware, ransomware and advanced threats. Antivirus blocks known threats at the door; EDR continuously records behaviour on each device so suspicious activity can be detected, investigated and shut down. It suits any Sydney business whose computers hold data worth stealing.
The distinction matters. Traditional antivirus asks one question: does this file match something bad we already know? EDR asks a better one: is this device behaving in a way that suggests an attack, regardless of whether the tools involved are technically legitimate?
In practice the two work together as a managed layer across your fleet: next-gen antivirus for the obvious threats, EDR for the subtle ones, and a team watching the alerts so detections actually lead to action.
Modern attacks are designed around antivirus. Attackers increasingly avoid dropping recognisable malware at all, instead using stolen passwords, built-in Windows tools and remote access software that every scanner considers legitimate. A signature-based product has nothing to match against.
Ransomware crews are a clear example. By the time files start encrypting, the intruders have often been inside for a while: escalating privileges, disabling backups and spreading between machines. Each step looks like administration; the pattern looks like an attack. EDR is built to see the pattern.
This is also why endpoint security should not stand alone. An attacker blocked at the device level frequently arrived through a phishing email, which is the job of email security and filtering to prevent, or through a poorly secured network edge, which is where firewall and network protection earns its keep.
A professional deployment starts with an assessment of what you actually run: how many workstations and servers, what operating systems, what existing security software needs replacing and any legacy applications that need careful handling. From that we design policies and quote fixed pricing with no hidden fees.
Rollout is staged rather than big-bang. Agents are deployed in groups, policies are applied and verified, and exclusions are tuned so protection does not interfere with line-of-business software. We align configuration with Essential Eight guidance and hardening best practice, which pays off later if you pursue formal compliance and Essential Eight maturity.
Deployment is only half the job. Ongoing management covers monitoring and triaging alerts, keeping the protection platform and operating systems patched on a sensible schedule, and reporting so you can see the state of your fleet at a glance rather than taking it on faith.
Speed and containment decide how bad an incident gets. When EDR flags genuine malicious activity, the affected device can be isolated from the network while it still stays reachable for investigation, which stops ransomware or an intruder moving sideways to servers and shared drives.
Investigation follows: what ran, where it came from, which accounts were involved and whether anything else was touched. Then remediation removes the threat, credentials are reset where needed and the device is restored to a known-good state. You receive a report covering what happened and what was changed.
We also help businesses that come to us after a malware or ransomware incident with no EDR in place. It is harder work without the recorded telemetry, which is exactly the argument for deploying it before you need it. If you are in that situation now, get in touch rather than working through it alone.
EDR platforms generate alerts that need human judgement. Self-managing works if someone in your business has the time and expertise to triage detections daily, tune policies and lead an incident response at short notice. For most Sydney small and mid-sized businesses, nobody genuinely owns that job.
Managed endpoint protection puts experienced technicians behind the console instead, and it extends naturally into full managed security and threat monitoring when you want coverage beyond the endpoints themselves. The deciding factor is usually response time at two in the morning: an unwatched alert is functionally the same as no alert.
If your current antivirus was chosen years ago and nobody has looked at it since, that is reason enough to review it. Book an assessment and we will tell you honestly whether what you have is still doing its job.

Laith was reliable, helpful and professional - will be recommending.
Absolutely recommend NexusByte and will be first point of contact for any future hardware support and fix services, and hopefully dealing once again with Laith. The entire process was an A+ experience from the moment the call was answered, through to the diagnostic, repair and return of the damaged laptop. Laith is fantastic. In every element of his service and support. Very personable, engaging, knowledgeable and understands the critical importance of service to customers. He provided clear information for every step from booking the appointment, was on time for visiting my home for diagnosis + collection and for return of the item (on a weekend!), for what to expect through the diagnostic works, and for the quoting and payment process. The price for the services provided was very reasonable and affordable. One of the best service experiences I have had and right from 'go'.
